Day 2 Update
Hallo Hackers!
It's almost the end of AngelHacks 2.0 Day 2! We hope you've been having as much fun as we have. Thank you so much for the insanely awesome attendance at the workshops -- all the people at NASA and Illumination loved being here for the event, thanks to you all! Here's a quick look at how things are going, and what you can expect to see coming up for the last day of hacking. :) (If you haven't already, join our discord at https://discord.gg/t29JHWGkmw and make sure to follow out schedule at http://bit.ly/angel-schedule)
So far, 7 projects have been submitted to the Devpost. As people begin getting their projects submitted, remember to have a good presentation ready! Aim for a minimum 2-minute long video showcasing your work, and explaining what you learned along the way. Also, feel free to include extra information in writing. As some of you begin finishing up, remember to keep our guidelines in mind, but most importantly, keep learning and have fun!
Congratulations to "Why have a team name" and "The Jacobins" for progressing to the Bedwars championship, where they will face the solo teams for their chance at the $100 prize tomorrow! Thank you all for coming to the Rolling Robots build event -- we'll tally up the votes tomorrow! Feel free to take a look at the designs at https://pollunit.com/polls/qbiskbovi73c69n_6xea5q. (Sorry for the weird UI and being unable to vote, I chose a bad website to host this on...)
Next up, we kindly ask that you fill out a voluntary demographics form. This is so we can get a better idea of where people are from, and what variety of backgrounds we have at our event. This is completely optional, and you are not required to fill the form in its entirety should you choose to disclose your information. https://airtable.com/shrZWO4vdkK9oWc90 .
We have a few cool workshops coming up that you should attend! At 11 AM PST, we have a Discussion on the Ethics of AI with Damian and Claire! Later at 1 PM, we have the doomsday workshop with Jacob Haap :) Make sure to check the leaderboards to see if you've racked enough points to make top 20 and win some cool swag!
Keep in mind that submissions are due at 4:59 PM, PST Sunday, and if you want to present, please submit earlier to have a chance to present! We recommend getting everything in with a little time to spare for any unforeseen obstacles. We also will have project presentations with Melody (more specifics to be released)! If you would like to present, try to submit sooner rather than later as the spots are on a first come first serve basis. If you still need any help with your project, feel free to ping a mentor! That's it from us for now!
Good luck moving forward, and goodnight, AngelHacks Team.
